TONIGHT: FOXX TO HOLD “GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT” TELEPHONE TOWN HALL MEETING

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Monday, June 17th Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (NC-5) will host a telephone town hall for constituents of North Carolina’s 5th Congressional District on the topic of government oversight and accountability.

“The American people are rightly demanding answers and accountability from the IRS concerning its recent admission that groups of citizens were targeted with harsher scrutiny based upon their political beliefs,” Congresswoman Foxx stated. “Congress is committed to providing oversight and delivering answers to the American people, along with consequences to the IRS. Investigations and hearings into the IRS’s abuses of power are ongoing and I look forward to updating 5th District constituents on those activities tonight.
