This week, the Department of Justice sought restraining orders on five foreign telecommunications companies who are responsible for conducting hundreds of millions of robocalls within the United States. These companies blatantly ignored multiple warnings from the Department of Justice and continue to engage in misleading calls – impersonating government agencies and businesses – to fraudulently obtain personal and financial information from Americans. Sadly, these companies have already defrauded thousands of elderly and vulnerable victims across the country.
Companies that continue to ignore the rule of law must be brought to justice, and I will continue to fight to protect Americans from these brazen schemes. To file a complaint on robocalls with the Federal Trade Commission, call 1-877-FTC-HELP or 1-877-382-4357.

USMCA Is Signed Into Law
On Wednesday, President Trump signed the United States – Mexico Canada Agreement – the largest, modern trade agreement in history that replaces the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Over 600,000 new jobs will be created, up to $235 billion in economic activity will be generated, and the American people will finally experience fairer, more reciprocal trade.

Protecting Workers' Fundamental Rights
H.R. 2474, the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act) is a damaging piece of legislation that favors the ideals of union organizers over the needs of workers. On Wednesday, I joined my colleague Tim Walberg in sending a third letter to Chairman Bobby Scott of the Education and Labor Committee and expressing the need for a public hearing on the skyrocketing corruption scandal within the United Automobile Workers (UAW) union. If Committee Democrats claim that they want to protect workers, wouldn’t they want to hear more about a corruption scandal that involved over $1.5 million in union funding? If this legislation was passed into law, state right-to-work laws would be overturned, and workers would be subjected to surrendering their union dues that have the potential to be misused.
