Foxx Report

While Republicans focus our efforts on legislating, Democrats are focusing their efforts on fearmongering. Since the 119th Congress kicked off, and President Trump was sworn in, Americans have taken note of this split screen of governing styles. You’ll recall what I pointed your attention to when Republicans passed our budget resolution weeks ago, and the chorus of outright lies and mischaracterizations that were spewed out by those in Washington who opposed it. There were wild claims that drastic cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and many other programs were folded into this budget resolution, but when Democrats were asked to show those cuts in the resolution, they could not because they WERE NOT THERE

That same exact scenario – Republicans focusing on legislating while Democrats are focusing on fearmongering – played out this week as Republicans in the People’s House upheld our responsibility, as outlined in the Constitution, by passing a government funding bill. This bill:

  • Fully funds the government through September.
  • Enacts the largest pay raise for junior enlisted personnel in the military in over 40 years.
  • Keeps Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid intact with the funding they need to operate through the end of the fiscal year with no changes whatsoever.
  • Maintains funding for other critical functions of the government such as border defense, infrastructure projects, and many more.
  • Contains no cuts to veterans’ benefits, health care, or nutritional assistance and actually increases some.

In total, this clean government funding bill is less than 100 pages in length. Every American can read through it, see the work that has been done to keep the government operational, and fact check every single claim that Democrats have made thus far. I’m particularly proud to have played a role in advancing this clean government funding bill to the floor as Chair of the Rules Committee, and to have voted for it. I am sure that many in Washington will keep up their campaign to delude you while Republicans lead from the front and govern in a responsible manner. But don’t worry, I’ll be there every step of the way to confront the lies head on and expose the truth.

Speaking of Exposing The Truth

In case you missed it, in a recent House Oversight Committee hearing, I exposed how many hardworking taxpayer dollars were funneled to Democrat-run sanctuary cities across the nation over the last four years. The answers I received were astounding. For example, New York City Mayor Eric Adams admitted that $6.9 billion of taxpayer dollars was spent on illegal aliens in New York City during the four years of the Biden administration. My Latest Interview

Recently, I joined The Bottom Line on Fox Business to discuss dismantling the Department of Education. The word “education” is not listed in the Constitution as a responsibility of the federal government – that power belongs to state and local governments where citizens can be directly involved. The President, Education Secretary McMahon, and Congress will put in the careful, diligent work necessary to make sure dismantling the Department is done in the right way and for the right reasons.
