The 119th Congress is in full swing, and House Republicans are moving at an expeditious pace to deliver upon the mandate that the American people gave us on November 5th. Having recently elected Speaker Johnson, and certified President Trump’s landslide victory, we’ve set an ambitious course to Make America Great Again – and our foot is placed firmly upon the gas pedal. This week, we passed two separate pieces of legislation to address the flow of illegal aliens into the United States, and to support our longstanding ally, Israel. Allow me to share a few specific details on both.
On Tuesday, we passed H.R. 29, the bipartisan Laken Riley Act. This legislation holds the Biden administration accountable for the countless tragedies caused by its own open border policies. Laken Riley, the namesake of H.R. 29, was kidnapped and brutally murdered by an illegal alien from Venezuela who had a previous history of arrests in the United States. This legislation specifically requires the detention of illegal aliens who commit theft and mandates that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) take them immediately into custody. Further, the Laken Riley Act allows states to sue the federal government, on behalf of their own citizens, for not enforcing federal border laws.
On Thursday, we passed H.R. 23, the bipartisan Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act. This legislation would impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) or any foreign actor who supports their effort to arrest, detain, or prosecute protected persons of the United States and its allies. Last November, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes. The decision on the part of the ICC to target the State of Israel as it defends itself from the barbarism of Hamas is entirely absurd. House Republicans will continue to stand alongside our nation’s longstanding ally – and we will always support Israel’s right to defend itself.
I’m proud to have voted in favor of both the Laken Riley Act and the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act this week. There’s a lot more work that we will undertake in the coming weeks, and I look forward to keeping you updated on our progress.

A Critical Report
Recently, I released new findings on one of the largest student loan forgiveness schemes orchestrated by the Biden-Harris administration. It is no surprise that the Biden-Harris administration has refused to admit that its own student loan schemes are illegal, and instead has tried to stretch every possible law to deliver on its outrageous campaign promise. Thankfully, the courts have seen through these shams, and with President Trump returning to the Oval Office in exactly 10 days, the jig will finally be up. I, along with millions of other Americans, are ready for his return.
