Christmas will always be one of the most special times of the year for most of us. Following Thanksgiving, I’m often asked if I’m ready for Christmas. I always respond that I am certainly ready for the Christmas spirit. During this time of the year, people break bread with one another, spread cheer throughout their communities, and dedicate their time to serving others. We also celebrate the blessings that God has bestowed upon us and give time to reflect upon the true meaning of the season: the birth of Jesus Christ. His birth is a gift and a blessing to us all.
The Christmas season is also a time when we also pause to reflect upon the service of others – from those who are currently in the armed forces at home and abroad to those who are serving our communities as first responders, police officers, members of rescue squads around the clock. There are many more men and women who we can recognize individually as well for their sacrifices and hard work. It is my hope that you and your families will have a blessed Christmas, and you will celebrate alongside people who you care about.
Have a blessed weekend,
