Foxx Report

The Biden family’s influence peddling schemes are coming into focus for the American people. In past newsletters, I’ve discussed the investigations being conducted by the Oversight and Accountability Committee – of which I am a member – and how the committee is working diligently to expose the truth about the Biden family’s so-called business dealings. What many may not know is that there is another committee, the House Committee on Ways and Means, that has also launched key investigations. Recently, this committee released 14 hours of transcribed whistleblower testimony from two current Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees who worked on Hunter Biden’s tax evasion case.

Here are three topline points of what these two whistleblowers brought to light during their interviews:

  • The Department of Justice engaged in deliberate attempts to delay, deflect, and deny IRS investigators who were assigned to Hunter Biden’s tax evasion case.
  • For years, Hunter Biden didn't report all his income to the IRS, much of it from foreign sources – the whistleblowers say he broke multiple laws in the process.
  • After Joe Biden was sworn in as President, there were concerns the Department of Justice wouldn't be an impartial investigator. Attorney General Merrick Garland ignored those concerns and refused to appoint a special prosecutor.
The level of misconduct on the part of the FBI, IRS, and DOJ – according to the hours of whistleblower testimony – is truly staggering. The unequal enforcement of the law, blatant government interference, and retaliation tactics that were used should be exposed in full. So that you can access the whistleblower testimony and see other topline findings, I’m linking to the full report from the House Committee on Ways and Means here. You can rest assured that I will keep you updated on the investigative efforts to expose the Biden family’s influence peddling schemes and hold them accountable at every turn.

Woefully Unprepared

This week, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) joined me in exposing Education Secretary Miguel Cardona for his department’s lack of preparedness to handle millions of student loan borrowers returning to repayment. We are demanding a briefing and documents from the Secretary regarding the administration’s plan to transition borrowers back to repayment. Here is a short excerpt of our letter:

“Sixty days after June 30, 2023, the return to repayment for student loans will begin for 43 million borrowers. The Department has been on notice for nearly two and a half years that it would need to develop a plan for a smooth transition to repayment. … You have failed to provide us any evidence of any communication between the Department and loan servicers as of the date of this letter.”

ICYMY: My Latest Interview

Recently, I joined Fox Business to discuss President Biden’s student loan debt transfer scheme. The proposals that his administration have made will have a devastating impact on the federal budget, college costs, and student debt. If allowed to continue, this will become a never-ending cost to the American people. Congress is the only body with the authority to enact policies of this nature, and it is ludicrous for President Biden to assume he can simply bypass the will of the American people. The president’s policies do nothing to solve the root issues of student debt or the rising cost of college.
