Foxx Report for the Week of October 9, 2017 |
|
There can be no doubt that Obamacare is failing. The so-called Affordable Care Act has proved to be anything but affordable for North Carolinians. As has been widely reported, the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services estimates that in 2018 over 95% of all counties in North Carolina will be dependent on only one insurer on the Obamacare exchange. The lack of choices and the absence of a free market for health insurers is exactly what House Republicans are fighting to fix.
Today, I joined Charles Payne on the Fox Business Channel to talk more about House Republican efforts to repair the damage done to the victims of Obamacare and our efforts to restore a free market for health care insurers and insurance.

Committee in Focus
This week in the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform we examined the U.S. Government’s role in protecting international religious freedom. I shared a concern with one of the expert witnesses that women and girls are often the primary victims of religious freedom violations. No woman or girl should be forced into a marriage as a child or coerced into converting to a religion.
