Manufacturing is booming across America thanks to the policies of President Trump and our Republican majorities in Congress. In case you missed the news earlier this week, the Institute for Supply Management released a new report detailing significant growth within the manufacturing sector of the U.S. market. Per the report, July marked the seventh straight month for growth in the sector, and July also marked the strongest rate of growth for the sector in over four years. According to the Federal Reserve, this boom is happening across the nation via manufacturing activity, payrolls, and rising wages for American workers. Manufacturing wages have grown 4.2% year-over-year – beating inflation and putting more money in the pockets of hardworking Americans.
And what’s the primary driver of this new growth? The Working Families Tax Cuts Act. As a result, six million American jobs have been created, $540 billion in wages of workers have been safeguarded, and $1.1. trillion in U.S. economic activity has been preserved. Here are just a few quick facts provided by the White House that underscore this monumental turnaround:
- 83,000 factory construction jobs have been added since President Trump took office.
- More than 18,000 manufacturing jobs have been created in 2026 alone, reversing years of decline.
- Orders for business equipment are on track for an all-time high in 2026.
- Imports of capital goods now exceed 40% of all U.S. goods imports — an historic peak as factories retool and expand.
Our commonsense, America First policies continue to lead this nation in the right direction. We’ve made good on our commitments, and remain laser focused on delivering results that the American people deserve.
An Educational Opportunity
This week, the American Federation for Children (AFC) released a new report detailing some very good news for students and families across North Carolina. Approximately 1.7 million children across the state, roughly 93% of North Carolina’s K-12 population, are eligible for scholarships under the new federal school choice tax credit. This new opportunity came about through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, that our Republican majorities advanced last year. To add, it’s estimated that 51.7 million children across the United States are eligible as well.

Next Tuesday, the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a free presentation on how to identify common scams and fraud. As I have detailed to you in the past, scammers will explore every avenue they can to steal your personal, sensitive information. From fraudulent text messages to online shopping scams, fake social media advertising to Medicare and Social Security fraud, there are many ways that vulnerable people can be targeted. However, when equipped with the right information, you and your loved ones can remain safe.
