I’ve said it before, and I’ll certainly say it again: the American economy is, without question, the greatest hub for innovation and prosperity in the entire world. As I called your attention to in my April 4th newsletter, since President Trump took office, he has secured trillions of dollars in private sector investments across the nation – as well as developing the United States Investment Accelerator. This still is news worthy of wider discussion, but today I’m going to highlight investments that are being made specifically in North Carolina that will lead to even further economic and job growth. Contrary to what some may claim, it was Republicans who secured these investments through our pro-growth policies.

To start, GE Aerospace announced that the company plans to invest $13 million in its facility located in West Jefferson – big news for the 5th District. This investment will create jobs and accelerate the development of engine parts for military and commercial aircraft. Alongside GE Aerospace, there are many other companies that have announced investments in other parts of the state – again thanks to the work of Republicans. Here’s a list:

  • Merck.
  • Schneider Electric.
  • GE Vernova.
  • Prepac.
  • Apple.
  • Eli Lilly and Company.

Like so much of the progress that has been achieved in such a short period of time, these investments are just the beginning. President Trump’s America First agenda has set the entire nation on a better, brighter path.

My Latest Op-Ed

Since the day the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was constituted, so-called liberal “pundits” within the mainstream media have whipped themselves into a self-induced, apoplectic frenzy. They sprang to their bully pulpits and preached of a forthcoming apocalypse – as if to suggest that an injection of accountability and transparency within the federal government is a poisonous cocktail that the nation was being forced to ingest. Their reactions and commentary then, as well as now, are entirely risible. With the copious amounts of haranguing against DOGE that have flooded the news cycle for months, Americans were undeniably subjected to misinformation hour after hour. That haranguing continues to this day, and one begins to wonder why there are so many who are adamantly averse to a bright light being shined upon the federal government’s own fiscally irresponsible ailments.

New Scam Alert

Have you been keeping up with news about the May 7th deadline for REAL ID? According to the Better Business Bureau, scams related to obtaining REAL ID are growing – and fast. Fake websites are popping up that claim to help travelers obtain REAL ID by providing personal, sensitive information. It’s important to know that the process of obtaining REAL ID requires a visit to your local DMV, and cannot be completed just by visiting a website or other online medium.
