President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is indeed a once-in-a-generation opportunity that should be celebrated. In addition to cutting spending, it fuels much-needed growth and greatly improves our nation’s fiscal footing. I wrote to you last week about the House’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and this week I’m going to share some additional details that I believe you should know. Buckle up.

Per Stephen Miller, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff:

“The Big Beautiful Bill is NOT an annual budget bill and does not fund the departments of government. It does not finance our agencies or federal programs. Instead, it includes the single largest welfare reform in American history. Along with the largest tax cut and reform in American history. The most aggressive energy exploration in American history. And the strongest border bill in American history. All while reducing the deficit.”

He goes on to explain that the One Big Beautiful Bill also saves more than $1.6 trillion in mandatory spending while spurring the largest-ever welfare reform. This is truly big news. In addition to the above, the One Big, Beautiful Bill also:

  • Ends taxes on tips.
  • Ends taxes on overtime pay.
  • Boosts tax deductions for seniors.
  • Expands family-centered tax incentives like the Child Tax Credit, the Standard Deduction, and family leave.

Again, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to enact serious, meaningful change. I remain immensely pleased that after the House’s passage of this legislation, we are one step closer to the finish line.

An Interesting Read

I’ve found a great article that I want to share with you. Recently, a piece was published in The Federalist that discusses how National Public Radio (NPR) continues to operate under the misguided belief that it is entitled to receive the taxpayer dollars of Americans. If you ask me, NPR and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) should not receive a single penny of taxpayer money. These entities have become too consumed with the Left’s ideological brain rot – and the flow of those dollars should be halted immediately.

A Positive Trend

In a recent report issued by U.S. News & World Report, North Carolina ranked fourth in The Most Sought-After States in the first quarter of 2025. Per the report, North Carolina’s economy, job market, and recreational opportunities drive what U.S. News & World Report refers to as “migration interest.” Alongside this positive trend, in early May, North Carolina was ranked seventh in the nation for “Best Economy” and fifth in the nation for “Best Growth in the Country.” From the coast to the Research Triangle Park to right here in western North Carolina, it’s easy to see why many people want to experience our way of life and all the opportunities that our state has to offer.
