Foxx Report

Our nation stands at a fiscal crossroads – one where we are beckoned to answer a simple yet pertinent question: what path will we choose to go down? The failed policies of the last four years cratered the great American economy, decimated America’s workforce, and crushed hardworking men and women everywhere who simply want to provide for their families. The way forward – which House Republicans passed this week – is through a pro-taxpayer, America First budget that creates a sustainable path to a prosperous future. The criticisms lobbed at this budget resolution by the media and Washington Democrats are pure nonsense – I’ll give you the topline facts that you need to know.

H.Con.Res.14, the Fiscal Year 2025 budget resolution:

  • Aligns with the American people’s mandate from November 5th and delivers upon President Trump’s agenda.
  • Eliminates the possibility of the greatest tax increase in history being levied against every American and their families.
  • Provides ample resources to the military so that the common defense of the nation remains unencumbered.
  • Allocates necessary, critical resources to the Trump administration so that it can further secure the border and reinforce national security.
  • Helps create a more responsible fiscal footprint by working to trim wasteful programs.

President Trump specifically requested “One Big, Beautiful Bill” and House Republicans have answered that request with a constructive, full-bodied product. Again, as I have said earlier, the nation stands at a crossroads. We need to embark upon a path that restores the fiscal health and vitality of the nation. This budget resolution, H.Con.Res.14, is the primary vehicle to help get us there. I was proud to vote in favor of H.Con.Res.14 on Tuesday when it came before the full House for a vote. Embracing the policies of the last four years is not an option – we’re putting the nation on a better and brighter trajectory.

Full Transparency

Two weeks ago, in my “Send In The DOGE” newsletter, I gave a handful of examples of how the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was saving millions and millions of taxpayer dollars. Now, the mainstream media has whipped itself into a tizzy over the work that DOGE is doing. One of the common, misguided criticisms that’s echoed across news networks is that DOGE is not being transparent in what its cutting or exposing. Au contraire, DOGE is doing exactly that. I encourage you to visit the Department’s website where examples of its cuts, along with their respective dollar amounts, are laid out line by line.

Quote of The Week

“Because of my upbringing, I believe in things like limited government, fiscal responsibility and personal accountability. I believe in the wisdom of our founders and the sanctity of our Constitution.”
