Foxx honors local WWII veterans at WWII Memorial in DC

U.S. Representative Virginia Foxx today greeted and honored the sacrifices of North Carolina WWII veterans who were participating in the Triad Flight of Honor trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC.

Freedom-loving people everywhere owe them a great debt.”
“Witnessing these proud veterans finally paying a visit to a much-overdue memorial in their honor in our nation’s capital is a moving experience. It is an honor to meet these patriots and pay tribute to their sacrifices.” The Triad Flight of Honor is a community service sponsored by Rotary District 7690 and other community organizations and businesses. More than 100 World War II veterans were able to participate in today’s Flight of Honor that allowed the veterans from North Carolina to take a day trip to Washington, DC and the World War II Memorial in Washington.
