Western North Carolina’s two congressional
representatives have weighed in on the Terri Schiavo case. Fifth District Rep. Virginia Foxx and tenth
district Representative Patrick McHenry, both Republicans, took part in the
U.S. House of Representatives emergency action early this morning to save the
life of Terri Schiavo. The House joined the U.S. Senate in passing legislation
permitting a federal district court to review Schiavo’s case. Both Foxx and
McHenry voted for the bill. How do you feel about the Schiavo case? Should her feeding
tube be removed and she be allowed to die…or is that wrong legally and/or
morally? Do you think Congress did the right thing or overstepped its bounds?
