You most likely seen the footage of all the scrambling people yesterday as the terror alert system in the nation's capital was put to the test by a small plane. As the plane drew nearer to the White House and Capitol, a frantic evacuation of government buildings was undertaken. That evacuation is getting mixed reviews. We spoke with High Country Congresswoman Virginia Foxx late yesterday She said she had just gone into the cloak room off the House floor when security personnel came through yelling “get out” and “this is not a drill.” Foxx said she walked some three-and-a-half blocks from the Capitol before they were allowed to stop. She says everyone around here took it very seriously and in her view, the evacuation plan worked… as did their Blackberry communication system with Capitol security.
