5th district congresswoman Virginia Foxx offered and passed an amendment to the Higher Education Act this morning that would promote greater competition and accountability in TRIO grant programs.
MOUNTAIN TELEVISION NETWORK 5th district congresswoman Virginia Foxx offered and passed an amendment to the Higher Education Act this morning that would promote greater competition and accountability in TRIO grant programs. Foxx's amendment would require the Secretary of Education to establish minimum performance standards for these programs and to evaluate their quality and efficacy. The Higher Education Act was last reauthorized in 1998 and is typically authorized every 5 years. |
