The Rev. Ricky Atkins will serve as a guest chaplain today for the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Rev. Ricky Atkins will serve as a guest chaplain today for the U.S. House of Representatives. He will give the opening prayer on the House floor about 10 a.m. U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-5th, is sponsoring Atkins. Atkins is the pastor of Courtney Baptist Church in Yadkinville and is a graduate of Fruitland Bible Institute. After the prayer, Foxx will give a short speech. C-SPAN will show the event on cable television. |
