The National Republican Congressional Committee surprised Rep. Virginia Foxx with the 2010 Ronald Reagan Award at their annual March dinner.
The Business Journal of the Greater Triad The National Republican Congressional Committee surprised Rep. Virginia Foxx with the 2010 Ronald Reagan Award at their annual March dinner. Foxx, a Republican who represents the state’s Fifth District, which includes Stokes, Yadkin, Surry and Davie counties, as well as parts of Forsyth County, was honored for her work as a leader of the Republican Party. The Ronald Reagan Award is chosen annually, based on a member of Congress’ leadership following the former president’s beliefs in a strong national defense and fiscal conservatism, according to an announcement from Foxx’s office. “Virginia works hard for her country,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions. “She stands as a model conservative, inspiring others to partake in the great experiment of democracy." |
