The diplomatic cable dump by WikiLeaks has caused a wide variety of reaction from lawmakers. Fifth District Congresswoman Virginia Foxx said the Obama administration needs to do more to prevent these leaks.

Foxx said they also need to make sure that government data sharing is more secure and less susceptible to unauthorized users. The Congresswoman added that charges need to be filed against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the people who are providing the documents to him.

"National security is the number one job of the federal government. It's doing a lousy job in a lot of other areas but the focus has to be on national security and it's time that the President and his folks understood that's their number one role," said Foxx.

She feels that these leaks are putting out troops and other government officials who work abroad in grave danger.
