Written by Steve Frank Nearly 20 local and area businesses gathered at the Marriott in Boone Friday for a High Country Job Fair, put on by the Workforce Development Board, NC Division of Workforce Solutions, and CCC&TI. A crowd of job seekers hear from possible employers, and congresswoman Virginia Foxx was there talking jobs and the economy, "The headline I saw this morning said our workforce is the same size as in 1979 right now.
