WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on President Trump's State of the Union address:
"Under the Trump Administration, America’s economy continues to experience unprecedented levels of growth, the free market continues to flourish, and hardworking Americans are no longer subject to burdensome regulations enacted by the previous administration. It’s clear that President Trump remains committed to putting the American people first.
"However, there is still much work to be done. We must ensure that our border is kept secure, our position within the global marketplace remains strong, healthcare affordability is improved, and America’s aging infrastructure continues to be rebuilt.
"The tasks before us may seem daunting, but by casting aside political showmanship and caustic division, we can come together to address the pressing issues that are most important to the American people. "
