Foxx Announces 2021 Military Service Academy Nomination Opening Window

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) announced the opening of the Military Service Academy nomination window for appointments to the Class of 2026:
“As the Representative for North Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District, one of my most important responsibilities is to nominate our next generation of leaders to honorably serve at one of our nation’s premiere military service academies,” said Rep. Foxx. “By both learning and upholding the values and traditions within their chosen branch, these young men and women will go on to become top notch military officers and serve the United States at home and abroad.”
Who is Eligible?
An applicant for a nomination must meet the following eligibility requirements as of July 1 of the year of admission to a service academy. He or she must be at least 17 years old, but not have passed their 23rd birthday, must be a United States citizen, a resident of North Carolina’s 5th congressional district and must be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children or other dependents.
Students interested in a nomination should contact my Dallas District Office in the spring of their junior year in high school or the summer before their senior year in high school. To apply for a nomination, please download the application. Please complete the application and return it with the required attachments by Friday, October 29, 2021.
