WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on H.R. 5376, the so-called “Build Back Better Act”:

“The consequences of President Biden’s failed policies have metastasized like a cancer across this country. Inflation has already reached a 30-year high, gas and grocery prices are skyrocketing, the economy is gasping for air, and hardworking taxpayers are at their wits end. The so-called “Build Back Better Act” will cause America to flatline, yet Democrats are pushing full steam ahead – disastrous consequences be damned.

“For months, this radical legislation has been touted by the majority as a cure that is long overdue. That’s an outright lie. It is the most expensive bill in the history of this country, and it will drive us into the depths of bankruptcy. With its passage today in the People’s House, America has one foot in the economic grave.”
