Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) announced the addition of Blaze Carswell as her newest Executive Assistant in Boone.

Blaze Carswell is a native of Hickory, North Carolina, and grew up in Taylorsville. Following his graduation from high school, he completed three overseas tours to both Iraq and Korea over the span of seven years. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University and served as the Vice President of the Student Veterans Association and as Ranking Member of the Rules Committee on Appalachian States’ Student Government.

“I am very proud to welcome Blaze to my Boone district office team. He is a lifelong resident of North Carolina’s 5^th District, and I firmly believe that he understands the pressing needs of the hardworking men, women, and families who are proud to call this area home,” said Representative Foxx. “Blaze is a strong conservative who has served both his country and community – it is clear that he will be resolute in his new position.”
