WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after President Biden’s State of the Union address:

“America has always been regarded as a resolute republic that has espoused both vigor and dynamism, but under President Biden’s abysmal leadership, and incalculable policy failures, we are now looked upon by the world as both frail and misguided. President Biden’s State of the Union address tonight confirms that damning fact, and the American people by and large reject his degenerate agenda. Scores of Americans are wondering what has happened to our great country.

“From a collapsing southern border to record inflation that has now reached a 40-year high, rising crime rates to collapsing credibility within the international community, no matter where you turn, the consequences of President Biden’s failures are more visible than ever. His failure of leadership is magnified by the displays of heroism and selflessness we are witnessing by Ukraine’s President Zelensky and his people. This juxtaposition should give Americans hope. American exceptionalism is on the verge of extinction, and Republicans will be the ones to save it – not President Biden and the Democrat majority in Congress. November is coming.”
