Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023, legislation led by Speaker McCarthy to responsibly address the debt ceiling:

“While President Biden and his Democrat allies in Congress bury their heads in the sand, House Republicans have placed a viable solution to the debt ceiling square on the table. To the surprise of no one, fiscal responsibility and the Democrat Party have a relationship like oil does with water.

“The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 will limit excessive federal spending, save hardworking taxpayers trillions of dollars, and grow our economy -– precisely the solutions that America needs right now. Thanks to the leadership of Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans, fiscal responsibility will be restored in Washington and the will of the American people will be respected. President Biden would do well to wise up and come to the table.”
