NACDS RxIMPACT pharmacy tours are having a banner year, recently crossing the significant 100 milestone.

 

Keeping the streak going, just yesterday, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) toured the BI-LO pharmacy in Statesville, N.C. During her visit, the congresswoman got to see a patient getting vaccinated and she spent time talking to customers in the store who expressed their appreciation for community pharmacy and the one-on-one patient care they receive from pharmacists.

 

The pharmacy team explained the important role pharmacists can play in patient well being and also reducing overall healthcare costs by providing medication therapy management, immunizations, disease state management and wellness programs.

 

The pharmacy team said the congresswoman was engaged throughout the visit and asked for follow-up information on the pro-patient, pro-pharmacy legislation they discussed with her during the tour.
